Description
Description
Texas governor Greg Abbott amended his executive order yesterday to remove incarceration as a punishment for violating his orders…
VERBATIM:
((Trump: That includes the woman we have been reading about with the beauty salon?
Abbott: She is free today.
Trump: Good.))
That’s the president speaking with the governor at the White House.
Shelley Luther… the Dallas salon owner jailed for violating state and local coronavirus orders… has been released from jail.
The Texas Supreme Court ordered her release.
The governor explained why he amended his order…
((If they don’t follow every little fine point of all the rules, they suddenly are subject to arrest — that is wrong.))
The change is effective retroactive to April 2nd… and will benefit others in the state who have been jailed for similar reasons.
